Well for the past two years Israel has been in my top 10 (not that many countries have had the chance in modern years to be in my top 10 for two years in a row!) so I am rather confident with their next choices.. They gave up on craps with Boaz fine voice and then Noa and Mira's quality. Both times it got them the final so why give up on that now?

So it's official, Harel Skaat was chosen to represent Israel 2010. Like the two last years, it will be a live NF for the song that the chosen singer will sing. The two last NF were great with good singers, let's hope this one will be too.

If only more countries would take this contest seriously ... just like Israel does.

Hats off Israel!  :hat: (well I know that it sounds weird coming from me but this is the truth  :P)

Beautiful!  :smitten: That's what I call MUSIC!  :good:

Please Israel keep this version of the song for esc ... we have way too many songs in English this year.

Wonderful song beautifully sung.  I agree with Rely though - please keep it entirely in Hebrew

And I agree with both Ian and Relyana - and I am actually sure that Israel doesn't even think about changing the language, because they are proud of their culture and language, just like every country should be.  :)

They are - but in recent years they've had that horrible habit of having dual language entries.  I believe this song would lose a lot by making it a dual language song.

That's so true. I hope this song will be sung totally in Hebrew, which is one of the languages I totally love.  :) I even started studying it a couple of years ago, but it was a little bit too difficult for me.  :-[

Hebrew in song just sounds absolutely wonderful .  I can imagine that it is a very difficult language to learn though

Harel could even sing in Chinese and the song would still keep its beauty ... I just don't want to listen to it in a language I understand because it will make it seem to be "just another great song, perfectly performed by a professional singer". The Hebrew language is what makes this song so special. To be honest I'm not even curious to see what those lyrics are saying ... I love this song the way it is.

one of the best entries of the year by far
but i'm really mad at the way Kdam was organised again.. they changed the running order and put "Milim" at the end and gave it a much stronger performance than the other 3 songs, especially runner-up "Le'an" which in audio was better !

I interviewed some VERY passionate Israeli Eurovision fans. They gave a great video interview and even sang Milim. Check it out: http://thetravelingcowboy.com/2010/06/eurovision-arrives-in-oslo/

Winner of ALL three Marcel Bezençon award (a first in history of this award)

a great song, a fans favorite, and yet some poor results due to the fact that the diaspora did not follow, the televote did not like, a not so great live and going right after the portuguese ballad and the german winner
