TOUR DU MONDE 4 - THE RESULTS



As winner of the 2nd edition (Canada) it fell to me to decide the location of the 4th edtion of Tour du Monde....and I have chosen to go to.....






AUSTRALIA

We had 12 entries in this contest as we welcomed Westendpad to the Tour du Monde.   


Here's a reminder of the songs along with who chose them

After 3 voters the top 5 looks like this

1. Delta Goodrem - 29 pts
2. Tomas Ford - 20 pts
3. Carol Hitchcock - 19 pts
4. Tina Arena - 17 pts
5. Daniel Merriweather 16 pts, John-Paul Young 16 pts.

Let's move onto Relyana's votes and see how things change.

By the way if you want to see the image larger to read the scores better just click on the image.  Delta still well in the lead....can I make it 3 victories in a row :o.  bURN is our next voter.

After 6 voters the top 5 looks like this

1. Delta Goodrem - 56 pts
2. Tina Arena - 42 pts
3. Daniel Merriweather - 36 pts
4. Savage Garden - 33 pts
5. AC/DC 29 pts, John-Paul Young 29 pts

So after good starts Tomas Ford and Carol Hitchcock move out of the top 5 making way for Savage Garden and AC/DC.  Delta Goodrem is 14 points clear at the top after receiving her 3rd 12 point.  There's 5 votes left and the first of those is from Centrix

Delta continues in the lead...but Tina Arena closed the gap to just 12 points now.  Let's see how everyone's favourite Finn, Niko, voted :P

Tina Arena gets another point back on Delta.  I am next to vote....so how are my votes going to affect my own chances.  With the lead currently at 11 points we'll see how my votes affect things

Niko will confirm that those were the exact votes I sent him :o.  So Tina Arena is our new leader....with only 2 voters left (including Westendpad who chose Tina)...this is going to be close.  Let's go to our penultimate voter, My Star.

So Tina Arena has a 5 point lead....but she is the final voter....well Westendpad is not Tina herself.   The equation is simple.  If Westendpad gives Delta Goodrem anything more than 5 points then Delta wins....anything less than 5 and Tina wins....so are we ready for it....here are Westendpad's votes

So it's congratulations to Tina Arena and Westendpad for winning the 4th edition of Tour du Monde.  Thanks to everyone that took part.

Westendpad - the location of Tour du Monde 6 will be decided by you so if you could PM your choice of country I can open the reservations

i'm 6th and my top 3 are all below me : stupid sets of votes and a very boring winner (but it was a bad edition..) Tina Arena got famous in France with ballads in French : stupid and lame voice. Anyway there is almost no chances of having something not typical win this contest.. At least "Shine" did not win (that song made me violent)

My biggest congratulations to Darran for the victory of this edition. It is a very good song.  :goodjob:

Thank you everyone for carrying Savage Garden to the 3rd place, :grouphug:

And Morgan, don't be so negative all the time.  :-[ Life is much better when you take things positively in stead of showing sour face.  ;)

Well now, that was unexpected. What a close result too!

I have always loved this song and it didn't take long for me to decide to use it. Thank you very much indeed to everybody that voted for Tina Arena, especially Ian for the 12, thanx a lot.

I enjoyed this game, thanks very much indeed Ian for organising it and presenting the results.

See you all in the 6th edition ... I have decided where this is going to be so I will send Ian a message now!  :) :)

I seriously don't do it on purpose and really wish i did not have to : but i don't believe on faking it, even on the Internet so when i'm disappointed, sad or mad, i say so. You can just ignore it as well I won't mind but I gotta say things I think. You're free to disagree.
