1. Azerbaijan - SaFura's performance was way better than it was in the semi, but I'm still not impressed by her singing.
2. Spain - there's a decent entry from Spain ... finally! The show was kind of chaotic, but I have to admit that the song is very interesting.
3. Norway - Very good song and performance ... but maybe that's because it's the kind of song I'd expect to listen Ireland performing (you do know that Ireland is my favorite esc country, don't you?). I'm not so sure that Norway really wants to host the next esc edition or do you, Norway?
I don't know why but this song reminds me very much of Brian Kennedy's You raise me up.
4. Moldova - Yet another performance way better than the one from the semi. Guess where our 12 points will go ... again!
5. Cyprus - Lovely! I wish I can speak English like that. I can't believe that Belgium will perform so soon after this one.
6. Bosnia & Herzegovina - this is one of the songs I didn't expect to qualify for the Final. I still can't see what's so special about it.
7. Belgium - this one's a CLASSIC by all means ... already in my top 10 favorite esc entries of the '00s (maybe I should post that top one day).
8. Serbia - pretty good song & performance, one of the few songs performed in the native language of the singer. This is what esc is about!
9. Belarus - so sugarish! Fly away Belarus, fly!
10. Ireland - thanks Ireland for bringing back your beautiful music! Niamh is really a great artist!
11. Greece - congratulations for singing in Greek ... that's a plus for the Greek entry this year, but it's also all I can say about it.
12. United Kingdom - "you bring the sunshine, I bring the good times" - does that mean that we're getting closer to the end of the economic crisis? Good voice, but I'm afraid that the chorus spoiled it all this evening ... there was something terribly wrong about it.
13. Georgia - Excellent voice! Nice to see Georgia taking this contest seriously for once.
14. Turkey - Congratulations Turkey! This is the first time in years when I really like the turkish entry! Very, very good!
15. Albania - one of the few songs I liked from the first listening this year. Juliana's voice still reminds me very much of Patricia Kaas' powerful voice (sorry Morgan). Very good performance ... again!
16. Iceland - a good entry from Iceland this year as well? Sounds like a top 10 entry. Can you believe that a country that sent Johanna and Hera at esc also sent Silvia Night not too long ago?
17. Ukraine - I really like Alyosha's voice but the song is getting depressing if you keep listening to it.
18. France - that's the kind of song I'd expect them to perform ... at the (football /soccer) world cup. Not exactly my cup of tea!
19. Romania - better than they were in the semifinal! How was that even possible?
20. Russia - I didn't believe that I'll get to like this one ... sounds good especially if you're tasting a cup of good red wine while watching (which is certainly not what I'm doing now). Still not a song to qualify for the Final, but well ... that's Russia the one we're talking about.
21. Armenia - with a J Lo kind of song, very well performed!
22. Germany - Brilliant! She was obviously nervous, but ... who wouldn't be? I like the fact that she seemed to be alone on stage even though she wasn't. The reaction of the public says it all. I can see this climbing pretty high in the Top 10 / or in the Top 5 / or even winning the whole thing.
23. Portugal - disregarding the fact that I do like the Portuguese language very much, I have the feeling that the song was better performed in the semi, but she did try her best I suppose. Ugly dress!
24. Israel - the song was way better performed this evening than it was performed in the semifinal, even if Harel didn't exactly hit all of the high notes very well.
25. Denmark -nice ending of the show this year
oh well ... Spain performed their entry again, after Denmark, due to the unfortunate security breach that occured during their show.
