It's a shade of sarcasm and irony there ... I'm surprised you didn't notice it.
Most of the Esc winners are really (not) "famous" in Romania. I wouldn't expect esc winners to get their albums produced and released here considering that we don't even bother to give 2 cents for our esc artists (and they didn't win esc of course but they used to be more popular before participating at esc go figure).
When people mention Lordi here they do remember "those monsters" and, believe it or not ... every esc artist is "labeled" here somehow: Ruslana ("that wild girl that performed some Romanian-like folk song at esc"), Helena (that girl that won esc instead of Luminita & Sistem"), Sertab ("the opera girl"), Dima Bilan ("he won because he's russian"), Sakis Rouvas ("the most beautiful man in the world" - should be "hanson" btw but who cares ?), Anna Vissi (that friendly greek artist that performed in Andreea Marin's show Surprize-Surprize and dared to kiss Mihai in Greece, in the backstage at esc, in 2006), Ira Losco (Laura Stoica's friend) and so on.
... and btw Helena and Sertab were not that famous here before esc ... they're not famous now either.
