What would you like to know about the Romanian artists that take part in Selectia Nationala this year ?

Better yet ... I have an idea ! If you would have the chance to talk to, lets say, Nico, what would you ask her ? I could invite her to read your questions and who knows, we can only hope that we will get some answers.

So escfans ... give it a go and tell us what you think !

Nico competed in the Romanian Selection for Eurovision in 2003 (song: "The only one"), 2004 (song: "Feeling Snow White"), 2005 with Mihai Traistariu performing "All the time" (3rd), in 2006 with Akcent, performing "Jokero" (the runner-up that year) and in 2007 performing "Dulce-amaruie" and "Love is all you need".

I will tell you more about Nico soon. In the meanwhile lets find out what would you like to ask Nico.

Hello Nico

When did you decide that you wanted to be a singer?
What does singing mean for you?

Why did you and, if applyable, do want to join the ESC?
Any favourite Romanian entry? And an international one?
Your results in the previous romanian national finals, have they been satisfactory? (at least on a personal level?)
If you were to be selected as the romanian representative, and you went to the ESC and you didn't manage to win (or end in a good position), would that be too dissapointing?

If you were to be selected as the romanian representative, and you went to the ESC and managed to stand as the victor of the event (or a rather high place), what would your feelings be about it?

I've been thinking of a question that I'd like to ask you, and this is what came in my mind.

How do you feel, when you stand on stage singing for the people.
Does it make you feel happy, satisfied that you can show yourself to the world?

Oh, and an other question is.... Are you thinking of an international career?

I just hope that you would not sing your song only in English, because it would totally kill a beautiful song. Please sing as much of it as you only can in Romanian.

Well Niko your wish is about to come true. Nico and Vlad will sing in Romanian and Italian.

While we are waiting for the answers to our questions, I'd like to ask you if you have any questions for Vlad and the composer Andrei Tudor. I'll send them the questions tomorrow so if you really wanna get some answers please don't hesitate to tell me.

In the meantime lets talk about another Romanian artist.
Paula Seling competed in the Romanian National Final for Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 (3rd) performing "Let's go", in 2004 (6th) performing "Perfect !" and this year (3rd) performing "Seven days" - duet with Provincialii (Ionut Ungureanu's band, he perfomed "Time" in 2007).
She's one of the few artists that supported Nico and Vlad from the beginning and I respect her for that. Paula and Nico took part today at a show supporting the fight against ethnic discrimination of gypsies in Romania. Paula was attacked by some journalists for doing this but she proved once more what a great lady she really is.

I met Nico, Andrei Tudor and the composer Laurentiu Matei (Nico's husband) 2 days ago. It is amazing that they came to meet 2 of their fans and spent more than 1 hour with us. We discussed about the 2006 National Selection and of course, about this year's ESC edition.

Thank you on behalf of Nico, Vlad and Andrei for your support, for the translations of "Pe-o margine de lume", for signing the petition, for promoting the interviews .... thanks for being the best friends one could ever ask for.

I will send her your questions but I can't promise that we will get any answers. I can at least try to get to our favorite esc stars. We have nothing to lose.
