drip drop was an ok americanized rnb ballad poorly sung and performed (stupid staircase, ugly dress, running on high heels), if it hadnt gone first it might have reached the top 3, insulting

apart that it's enjoyable coz of the girls, the song's really annoying after a couple of listening and quite dated for the early 00's (admittedly not as dated as Nikki French in the same genre)

wasn't it a previous favorite before the contest? Yeah I don't see why, it is one of the usual german songs of the 80s without any catchy melody (like, say, sweden 88, netherlands 88 or turkey 88), it doesn't have strong lyrics (like say, belgium 88 or italy 88) and it doesn't have any strong vocals (like, say, luxembourg 88, switzerland 88)...and in the end, the irish duo doing exactly what they did but better, they got lost, phew

Actually there is one Yugoslavian song I don't like in the 60s. Yeah just one, but it's not like horrible, it's just very lame. And lame is a perfect word to describe Monaco 68. They look so funky in a bad way. It's annoying that I can understand the tacky lyrics too.

well it's a great song to listen to but it's got a very aged feel to it... maybe it's meant to be a bit 50s diva, especially with that dress, but instead of being classy and vintage, it just felt a bit too old... especially that they tried to push some 80s sound to it... in the end, it's a cool song that didnt know what card it wanted to play and 5th was perfect for it

Vocally absolutely phenomenal. The song was rather clichéd...but it doesn't stop it being something that appeals to me

ahah why do you think i asked! i was right, yay!

great catchy, pretty decent vocals, the live was mssy but people wanted such song to go big folk traditional, the lyrics are on the side of good even if they are a bit lame, but they're actually trying to sell a love story differently, all in all a decent winner that at least worked around europe and was well recieved in france (lena did well here too)

Tried but failed miserably to emulate the success of Koldun the year before. It was never going to work Koldun had a better song (although still rubbish), a better stage presence, better vocals and looked better than Ruslan.

even if it was close to impossible to top their debut entry, Georgia made a strong second effort with actually a good song and a strong voice, the clothes changes was one of the better ones ever on esc stage, and they wouldnt be impressive if she wasnt blind but it does make you wonder how they ensured it
