well I must admit that I am not very familiar with his "work" apart from two esc entries. I liked the first one enough to have 3rd of what is without a doubt the worst esc in all history (in many aspects, stage, hosting, songs..) ; it was a good song audio wise and I had it 5th before the live. Not fan of the piano drama, but I liked looking at his bent over butt..
The 2008 entry was of much less quality to my music interest, but I can see its appeal. However, the live was again done with a lot of melo-drama which couldn't go unnoticed by viewers, especially with two very lucky draws.. It won and I still don't have it in my top 15 of the year..
I don't think he is at all my kind of music-singer so I won't dig in more as I did looking for pictures of him back in 2006

Yeah. We all have different music tastes.

Maybe you should listen to some of his songs with Timbaland? There really different to Never Let You Go and Believe.

but he's not like a bad singer, and he's definitely hot (the only man on Earth who can have the mulet haircut and live with it)

Interesting video coming from Dima. I have 2 of his albums (Never let you go and Vremya Reka).
I loved his 2006 esc entry, not liked the 2008 one.

Like it or not we have to admit that Sertab Erener, Ruslana, Helena Paparizou and Dima Bilan are the most popular esc winners this decade had so far.

I listened to the complete Dima discography searching for a song of his for a contest...and I have to say that his ESC songs are not a good indication of his style. He sounds so much better singing in Russian. Plus as Morgan said he's hot

most eastern european singers sound better in their own language. Belarus this year.. Petr sounds terrible but it's mostly his accent : he does get a few notes right

Actually I have known Dima Bilan already before his career in ESC. I have listened all his albums since 2003. By the way, here is a song from his first album, which has the same name than this song Я ночной хулиган (I am a Night Hooligan). Just have a look. wasn't Dima a real candy for eyes 6 years ago in 2003!

Back then he was a cutie, singing in Russian songs that were "russian pop"..
in esc 06 i thought he was cute and nice.. true to what he used to do
in esc 08 it felt very fake, done to win, the song was even reworked by an American team.. Insulting!
