Known as Melodi Grand Prix Nordic, was the first Junior Eurovision, back in 2002, consisting of 3 countries:
  • Sweden
  • Denmark
  • Norway

The contest was held on April 26, 2002, in Forumhallen in Copenhagen, Denmark. The contestants were between 8 and 15 years old.

The top three of each national contest competed in running order in the final. The scoring system was based on televoting. The winner was 12-year-old Razz from Denmark.

1. Denmark - Razz - Kickflipper (44 points)
2. Sweden - Fairytale - Tills natten blir dag (38 points)
3. Norway - Wicked Instinct - Jeg er e'kje aleine (36 points)
4. Denmark - Morten - Du er ikke som de andre pi'r (32 points)
4. Denmark - Emma - Du er den som jeg vil ha(32 points)
6. Sweden - Sofie - Superduperkillen (26 points)
7. Norway - To Små Karer - Paybacktime (22 points)
8. Sweden - Joel - När blev du och jag vi? (12 points)
9. Norway - Jackets - Aldri mer Black (10 points)
