well good Eurovision-country doesn't start to being with ; it regularly wins the "Best esc country" awards around the net in different sites, usually having to battle with the UK and Spain for the top spot, followed by Luxembourg usually doing well (but that just doubles French pts in my opinion, as Monaco-Luxembourg = France at the end). Even though Ireland is the country that won the most, it's Frenchmen who have the most often won Eurovision, 58, 60, 61, 62, 65, 69, 71, 73, 77, 83 that's ten total. I can't really count Vicky she's German-Greek. Then as France itself, 5 victories, 4 runner-ups including a very close one, 7 times third, 7 times fourth, 5 times fifth.. And yes, the only big country without a last place and without a 0, something we used to share with the Uk until 2003 came along!
But Eurovision is not about one country but many countries. If the competition wasn't so wonderful with so many great singers, then France or Luxembourg or the Uk and all others wouldn't have pulled for us so many wonderful entries. That's what's missing nowadays. The spiral that would bring everyone's level up a bit!
