I think the only thing I can be pretty sure about is that UK will be getting yet another bottom 5 position.

Victory wise - well Germany will probably do well despite her being a poor performer....Azerbaijan the same.  Based on the semi performances I'd like to see Turkey challenging....and I think Romania is a real dark horse.  Denmark cannot be counted out either.

I think or hope that the winner is one of these countries:
Greece, Turkey, Romania or Denmark

I think the winner is likely to be one between Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Ukraine (), Portugal (double )

We definitely ain't going to the Caucasus, me thinks, that's for sure.

I think it is mostly between Germany, Belgium and Israel with Turkey, Serbia and Ukraine as possible surprise victories.

My gut feeling says that the winner is among Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Denmark; with Romania, Georgia and Israel being most possible spoilers. But truthfully unlike any other year in recent history I can see about 15 country with a chance of winning. Hopefully we'll see an exciting voting tonight after all those boring years (voting-wise of course).

I have no idea, which song would win tonight. In my top 12 are (in the alphabetical order)

Albania
Belgium
Cyprus
Denmark
Ireland
Israel
Norway
Romania
Serbia
Spain
Turkey
United Kingdom

If one of those wins, I am happy.

The worst songs in tonight's final in my opinion are Azerbaidjan and Ukraine.

I'd be happy if one of the following 6 won

Belgium
Ireland
Israel
Norway - very unlikely I know but still like the guy and his voice :-[
Romania
Turkey

One thing is pretty certain though - with Romania opening the voting Moldova will get the first 12 of the evening

And Turkey will get the 12 from Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan will get the 12 from Turkey. It's so predictable.

And Greece will get 12 from Cyprus.  But this time it is not sure if Cyprus will get 12 from Greece or will Greece give its 12 to Albania - or maybe to Romania.  :worry:

I can bet that THAT won't happen. Com'on! Greece didn't even give 12 points to Mihai Traistariu and we all know how famous Tornero was in all Greek clubs at that time.

Yes, Greeks preferred then the Finnish monsters!  ;D - and also some other countries.
But this is completely another year with other songs (and maybe other voters), so we can't compare them with each others, can we?  :)

1. Azerbaijan - SaFura's performance was way better than it was in the semi, but I'm still not impressed by her singing.

2. Spain - there's a decent entry from Spain ... finally! The show was kind of chaotic, but I have to admit that the song is very interesting.

3. Norway - Very good song and performance ... but maybe that's because it's the kind of song I'd expect to listen Ireland performing (you do know that Ireland is my favorite esc country, don't you?). I'm not so sure that Norway really wants to host the next esc edition or do you, Norway?
I don't know why but this song reminds me very much of Brian Kennedy's You raise me up.

4. Moldova - Yet another performance way better than the one from the semi. Guess where our 12 points will go ... again!

5. Cyprus - Lovely! I wish I can speak English like that. I can't believe that Belgium will perform so soon after this one.

6. Bosnia & Herzegovina - this is one of the songs I didn't expect to qualify for the Final. I still can't see what's so special about it.

7. Belgium - this one's a CLASSIC by all means ... already in my top 10 favorite esc entries of the '00s (maybe I should post that top one day).

8. Serbia -  pretty good song & performance, one of the few songs performed in the native language of the singer. This is what esc is about!

9. Belarus - so sugarish! Fly away Belarus, fly!

10. Ireland - thanks Ireland for bringing back your beautiful music! Niamh is really a great artist!

11. Greece - congratulations for singing in Greek ... that's a plus for the Greek entry this year, but it's also all I can say about it.

12. United Kingdom - "you bring the sunshine, I bring the good times" - does that mean that we're getting closer to the end of the economic crisis? Good voice, but I'm afraid that the chorus spoiled it all this evening ... there was something terribly wrong about it.

13. Georgia - Excellent voice! Nice to see Georgia taking this contest seriously for once.

14. Turkey - Congratulations Turkey! This is the first time in years when I really like the turkish entry! Very, very good!

15. Albania - one of the few songs I liked from the first listening this year. Juliana's voice still reminds me very much of Patricia Kaas' powerful voice (sorry Morgan). Very good performance ... again!

16. Iceland - a good entry from Iceland this year as well? Sounds like a top 10 entry. Can you believe that a country that sent Johanna and Hera at esc also sent Silvia Night not too long ago?

17. Ukraine - I really like Alyosha's voice but the song is getting depressing if you keep listening to it.

18. France - that's the kind of song I'd expect them to perform ... at the (football /soccer) world cup.  Not exactly my cup of tea!

19. Romania - better than they were in the semifinal! How was that even possible?

20. Russia - I didn't believe that I'll get to like this one ... sounds good especially if you're tasting a cup of good red wine while watching (which is certainly not what I'm doing now). Still not a song to qualify for the Final, but well ... that's Russia the one we're talking about.

21. Armenia - with a J Lo kind of song, very well performed!

22. Germany - Brilliant! She was obviously nervous, but ... who wouldn't be? I like the fact that she seemed to be alone on stage even though she wasn't. The reaction of the public says it all. I can see this climbing pretty high in the Top 10 / or in the Top 5 / or even winning the whole thing.

23. Portugal - disregarding the fact that I do like the Portuguese language very much, I have the feeling that the song was better performed in the semi, but she did try her best I suppose. Ugly dress!

24. Israel - the song was way better performed this evening than it was performed in the semifinal, even if Harel didn't exactly hit all of the high notes very well.

25. Denmark -nice ending of the show this year

oh well ... Spain performed their entry again, after Denmark, due to the unfortunate security breach that occured during their show.

Why am I getting Spain ?  ???

They are performing for the second time this evening. Everyone is shocked here. I don't understand what's happening.

Reason why: at the end of the Spanish show a fan entered the stage and Spain requested for their entry to be performed once again. I can't believe that that permission was really granted. :eyepop:

Shocked? It was an scandal that the security failed that way. It was the only fair decision.

I'm surprised you didn't noticed the guy who jumped into the performance  :o

I did notice the guy, Lonter, but I honestly don't see how that guy's action would've affected the televoting and the jury votes.

I did notice the guy, Lonter, but I honestly don't see how that guy's action would've affected the televoting and the jury votes.

Let's put it this way. You have been selected for the contest you love representing your country, you work for months and months of rehearsals and selections to be in the best form possible, you have tried to perfect the 3 minutes you earned (and in case of the TV station, payed for) in every possible way, and THEN the host's security screws up and lets some random guy jump and dance and disturb all of the performers during half a minute.

Result? You would be PISSED off. Perhaps your performance wouldn't be as good due to some random guy who shouldn't be there prancing in fronts of you.

Juries? It can't affect the juries of course, they have already voted, and while there is doubt about the televoters, it's still true that Daniel didn't get the minutes in the conditions he earned, so Stockselius obviously did the correct decision.

Just like in 2005 with Gulseren, the host screwed up. It's is a great move by NRK to actually do the correct decision this time, unlike last time.
