The decision is made! The Danish public broadcaster DR has announced on their website that the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place next year in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

The semifinals will take place on Tuesday 6 and Thursday May 8. The final is on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in May next year in the "B & W Hallerne". Copenhagen is the third time the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1965 and 2001, the contest also took place in this city.

The Danish public broadcaster DR announced that a Eurovision park of 40,000 square meters will be created. The press center will house more than 1,500 journalists. The slogan of the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen "Join us". In early January 2014, the EBU will anounce the list of participating countries to the next contest.

Personnaly, I think that Copenhagen is very good choice. The city has a lot to offer and has already proved that it can host the contest without any problems. I have visited Copenhagen several times. It's a nice, calm and friendly city.
