My favourite song would be Devil is a Loser :)

Lordi is no more popular in Finland - and actually only a very small amount of people knew him here before ESC 2006.

Really ?  :-\ How come ? I thought esc brings fame and glory for all winners this decade.

??
what made you think that?
no esc winners got european fame, let alone world fame!
in France not a SINGLE esc winner got produced and released here (the last one being Dana International)
maybe the winners got fame in their OWN country or in their REGIONS but barely anyone got a huge European fame! The only one that probably people still remember are Sertab and Helena, but both were famous BEFORE winning..

i doubt any esc winners from the last decade will ever reach fame, at least not thanks to eurovision! Finland has been a big country for hard rock / metal lovers, but definitely not with Lordi (more with Nightwish and Apoc' and a few others..) These will remain famous, and Lordi has gone..

It's a shade of sarcasm and irony there ... I'm surprised you didn't notice it.

Most of the Esc winners are really (not) "famous"  in Romania. I wouldn't expect esc winners to get their albums produced and released here considering that we don't even bother to give 2 cents for our esc artists (and they didn't win esc of course but they used to be more popular before participating at esc go figure).

When people mention Lordi here they do remember "those monsters" and, believe it or not ... every esc artist is "labeled" here somehow: Ruslana ("that wild girl that performed some Romanian-like folk song at esc"), Helena (that girl that won esc instead of Luminita & Sistem"), Sertab ("the opera girl"), Dima Bilan ("he won because he's russian"), Sakis Rouvas ("the most beautiful man in the world" - should be "hanson" btw but who cares ?), Anna Vissi (that friendly greek artist that performed in Andreea Marin's show Surprize-Surprize and dared to kiss Mihai in Greece, in the backstage at esc, in 2006), Ira Losco (Laura Stoica's friend) and so on.

... and btw Helena and Sertab were not that famous here before esc ... they're not famous now either.

how good are those labels? i mean how well spread are they? lol they're funny but it's good that at least you got labels for them. you say "dima bilan" in french streets and people will go "huh? what's that?"

as for Helena and Sertab again as I said earlier in my post i said COUNTRY fame or regional fame. Sertab and Helena still got popular in their own countries.. Unlike Ortal or Virginie Pouchin totally unknown to french people too :ack:

I still listen to their Eurovision Entry " Hard Rock Hallelujah".

I believe this is one of the most deserved winners of Eurovision of the past decade...   A wonderful song

But one day the old lovers long for more
Dreams and desires of another youth
And they leave their families, betray their friends
They don't want advice about how to be happy
