Another 10 advance to final

Last night, Semi final two of the Eurovision song contest was held in Moscow, as 19 countries battled it out for 10 precious final spots.

Croatia opened the show, with Igor Cukrov and Andrea singing their song "Lijepa Tena". The ballad was performed by the two of them, whilst surrounded by dancers in white.

Next up was pop-rock number "Et Cetera" representing seven times song contest winners Ireland. The song was performed by Dublin girl Sinead Mulvey, with rock band Black Daisy performing on stage along side her.

Intars Busulis continued the rock influenced theme with his hectic song "Probka". The song title means traffic jam, and the backdrop suggested so, with street signs pointing in many directions.

This was followed by another unique entry, this one representing Serbia. Big-haired Marko Kon performed his song "Cipela" (shoe) along with Milaan. The song had an interesting performance with crazy dancers and a backdrop featuring a pixelated version of the singer.

Poland were up next with a simple performance of a simple ballad performed by Lidia Kopania. Poland were hoping that her song "I don't wanna leave" would bring them to the final for the second successive year.

Bookied favourite Alexander Rybak was up next for Norway, singing his violin infused song "Fairytale". He was accompanied on stage by backing singers and dancers doing acrobatics. His performance went down well in the stadium.

Christina Metaxa was up next for Cyprus. She was hoping to bring Cyprus to the final for the first time since 2005, singing a song composed by her brother Nicolas entitled "Firefly". She performed a simple performance of her song, with the stage having a few podiums with herself and backing singer/dancers on them.

Slovakia were up next with their ballad "Let' tmou" performed by duet Kamil Mikulcik and Nela Pociskova. The two blended their voices well, and gave a passionate performance of the song.

Irish song writer Ronan Keating provided us with the next song for Denmark. The song - "Believe again" was performed by Neils Brinck, who was accompanied by his band on stage.

One of the most unique performances in Eurovision history came up next with Quartissimo feat. Martina performing "Love Symphony" for Slovenia. The band performed at first behind white screens, before emerging throughout the song. Singer Martina lay hidden also behind a white screen before she burst out towards the end also.

Hungary's uptempo number "Dance With Me" was performed next by Zoli Adok. The Hungarian singer was accompanied on stage by several dancing girls.

Arash and Aysel were up next for Azerbaijan singing their ethnic influenced dance song "Always". The catchy song went down a treat in Moscow, as the bad provided us wiht a huge visual performance.

Sakis Rouvas was up next, returning to Eurovision for the second time for Greece, after his third place finish back in 2004. He performed his pop song "This is Our Night", surrounded by dancing girls.

After a long run of up tempo songs, next up we had a ballad from Lithuanian singer Sasha Son. His song "Love" had a simple performance, as he spent the majority of the song singing the song while sitting at his piano.

Nelly from Moldova came up next with her song "Hora Din Moldova". This song had traditional elements, and had a great visual performance, with Nelly and her dancers having what seemed to be great fun on stage.

Albania came up next, with Kejsi Tola and her song "Carry me in your dreams". She was accompanied on stage by a man in a full body blue suit, and two dancers wearing black with face paint on their faces.

Svetlana Loboda from Ukraine provided us with one of the biggest visual spectacles of the year as she sang her song "Be My Valentine! (Anti-Crisis Girl)". The Ukranian singer performed on a specially designed set, surrounded by male dancers.

A much simpler performance came next from Estonian group Urban Symphony. Their song Randajad was a simple string influenced low-tempo song. The stage was covered in smoke in what was a very convincing performance of a strong song.

The show was closed by Dutch group The Toppers singing their song "Shine". The band were wearing silver suits, while performing along 3 female backing singers dressed fully in white.

In the end the following 10 countries qualified to the final:
