Romania's romance ends on the edge of the world
Romania was the 8th country to cast its votes last night at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
This is how the Romanians voted :
Croatia - Kraljevi Ulice & 75 Cents - Romanca - 1 point
Azerbaidjan - Elnur & Samir - Day After Day - 2 points
Ukraine - Ani Lorak - Shady Lady - 3 points
Armenia - Sirusho - Qele Qele - 4 points
Norway - Maria - Hold On Be Strong - 5 points
Israel - Boaz - The Fire In Your Eyes - 6 points
Serbia - Jelena Tomaševic - Oro - 7 points
Turkey - Mor ve Ötesi - Deli - 08 points
Russia - Dima Bilan - Believe - 10 points
Greece - Kalomoira - Secret Combination - 12 points
For the first time in years our 12 points didn't go to Moldova simply because Moldova didn't qualify for the ESC Final.
On the other hand Romania finished 20th with 45 points (1 point from San Marino, 3 points from Cyprus and Ireland, 4 points from France and Portugal, 6 points from Israel, 12 points from Moldova and Spain).
The promo tour didn't seem to pay back as we didn't get any points from Greece, Ukraine, Belgium and UK in the Final.
Andrei Tudor, the composer of "Pe-o margine de lume", received the composers award at the afterparty (Marcel Bezençon award for best composition I believe that is).
